Achilles Fellows

Born in Buffalo, New York, I now reside in Easton where I am a member of the St. Michaels Art League, Talbot County Visual Arts Center, and Friday Morning Artists.

I started my art career at the age of 12 when I studied charcoal drawing with Lazlo Szabo. Over the years I also studied with Robert N. Blair, Claude Crooney, Bernard Gestner, and Daniel Green, learning oil and pastel. In college I studied etching, and lithography. I studied marble carving in Vermont and, recently, I have started working with ceramic sculpture.

I have won many awards for my watercolors and acrylics, which have become my signature media. Most recently I won the Juror's Choice Award for acrylics and oil at the Academy of Arts, and Best In Show for Acrylics and Oils during the 2006 Plein Aire Festival for Local Colors show.

I enjoy painting outdoors and also working in mediums to my sculptures.
